The story takes place in a mythical Viking world from the Island of Berk where a young Viking teenager named Hiccup aspires to follow his tribe’s tradition of becoming a dragon slayer. After finally capturing his first dragon, and with his chance at finally gaining the tribe’s acceptance, he finds that he no longer has the desire to kill it and instead befriends it. A hapless young Viking who aspires to hunt dragons becomes the unlikely friend of a young dragon himself, and learns there may be more to the creatures than he assumed.

It isn’t long before they discover that Andy’s little sister is actively searching for them, so they decide to escape — but to make things complicated, the toys soon discover that some of their new friends aren’t as friendly as they thought. Their new friends are led by the Ken doll for troubles. To further complicate matters, Buzz is damaged during an escape attempt. The toys try to reset Buzz, only to make him revert to a delusional Spanish mode of his old self, much to the other toys’ discomfort and Jessie’s amazement. The story is largely based on the German fairy tale Rapunzel by the Brothers Grimm. The film was originally titled and marketed as Rapunzel until it was changed to Tangled shortly before its release. When first put into production, the film was promoted as having the title Rapunzel Unbraided, which was then changed to Rapunzel After receiving the healing powers from a magical flower, the baby Princess Rapunzel is kidnapped from the palace in the middle of the night by Mother Gothel. Mother Gothel knows that the flower’s magical powers are now growing within the golden hair of Rapunzel, and to stay young, she must lock Rapunzel in her hidden tower. Rapunzel is now a teenager and her hair has grown to a length of 70-feet. The beautiful Rapunzel has been in the tower her entire life, and she is curious of the outside world. One day, the bandit Flynn Ryder scales the tower and is taken captive by Rapunzel. Rapunzel strikes a deal with the charming thief to act as her guide to travel to the place where the floating lights come from that she has seen every year on her birthday. Rapunzel is about to have the most exciting and magnificent journey of her life.
